Campers being directed to their sites during what serves as load-in and opening day at the Bonnaroo Music & Music Festival found soggy and muddy conditions, as well as plenty of heat and humidity. By 4 p.m., officials said about half of the more than 70,000 ticket-buyers were inside the 700-acre festival grounds.
Centeroo, which is the main festival area with vendors, stages and activities, was quickly filling up.
