Governor-elect Bill Haslam today thanked veterans for helping make Tennessee and the U.S. “a great place to call home” and asked fellow Tennesseans to do the same.
“As we celebrate Veterans Day today, I encourage everyone to take a moment and thank our veterans for their heroic service to country,” Haslam said in a news release.
“Today we remember those who fought for our freedoms, and we keep in our thoughts and prayers our fellow Tennesseans out across the world standing guard so we here at home can go about our lives in peace.”
