A woman was struck by a vehicle on the intersection of Market Street and East 10th Street Tuesday evening, Chattanooga police say.
The woman, who suffered very minor injuries, was seen lying in the middle of Market Street being attended to by emergency personnel, and police briefly redirected traffic as she was aided.
Police spokeswoman Elisa Myzal said the woman was taken to a local hospital for precautionary reasons.
The driver was a man. He was waiting for a passing car, and when he started to turn, he bumped the woman and she fell, Myzal said.
The driver was taken to jail, but for unrelated charges. He had outstanding warrants.
