Cooperation by Sequatchie and Hamilton County authorities led to the discovery of 27 used and discarded “shake and bake” methamphetamine labs in the Soddy-Daisy area.
According to a news release, the used meth-making equipment was found during a search in the 9200 block of West Ridge Trail Road, east of U.S. Highway 27 and north of Sequoyah Access Road. The search area was about an eighth of a mile, according to Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson.
Atkinson said Sequatchie sheriff’s officials called Hamilton officials with information and the joint investigation is ongoing.
