Three businesses were given small business of the year awards by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce today.
Southern Hearth and Patio, Metro Services Inc. and Access America were cited for 2010 by the business group.
WTCI-TV also was named outstanding nonprofit of the year at the Chamber event that drew about 1,200 people to the Chattanooga Convention Center.
“The Chamber itself is a small business with just over 30 employees,” said Tom Edd Wilson, the Chamber’s chief executive. “So I know what it’s like to worry about keeping clients, providing benefits and meeting the payroll.”
