U.S. still has a chance; vote Trump

So, the bottom line for me is that I love this country and our Constitution more than I dislike Trump’s antics and ego.

He will attempt to change the direction that godless liberals and their propaganda-media have led this nation.

With Trump we have a chance. With Clinton we have no chance.

Be thankful we still have a chance and vote.

There are other options for president

The left-wingers are all upset about some crude remarks made by Donald Trump. Why is it that the same folks tolerated the actions of Bill Clinton when he was having sex with a young intern in the Oval Office?

Now we see Hillary’s emails disappearing, only to be released by Wikileaks. So blame that organization. How terrible of them to hack her emails.

Should we blame the USA for breaking the Japanese code in World War II? Does she understand that is why we try to make high-level communications secure?

We see lie after lie. We see her associates taking the 5th to protect her. Scandal after scandal, and you know in your heart that she is corrupt.

Don’t like Trump? There are alternative candidates.

If you support Hillary, don’t tell your children not to lie as you have already given your approval to that behavior.

Greg Martin has what its takes for District 3

District 3 has been fortunate to have elected leaders who have played an active role in making Hixson a better place to live, work and play.

One of these people is Greg Martin. Whether it’s Friends of Hixson, the Hixson Kiwanis Club or the Hixson Chamber of Commerce, Greg is active inside the Hixson community and has spent years serving in leadership roles of various civic groups making Hixson better for everyone.

As our voice on educational issues, Greg has also helped drive improvements in District 3 public schools and made difficult decisions that represented our values and principles in Hixson. This record of service inside Hixson is why many people voted to re-elect Greg as our school board member in 2014.

Some want Greg to remain on the school board, but I believe Greg is the better candidate in this race and is ready to serve District 3 on a larger stage.

If you live in Hixson, I ask that you join me in voting for Greg Martin as our next District 3 county commissioner.

Commission needs Joe Smith’s presence

We need Joe Smith’s leadership on the Hamilton County Commission. Please join me and my wife as we join the Chattanooga Times and Chattanooga Free Press in endorsing Joe Smith for District 3

My wife Cindy and I first worked with Joe when he was the youth minister at White Oak Baptist Church. We were immediately impressed with his integrity, work ethic and compassion. Joe has the ability to draw people in, make them feel welcome and to motivate them. He was a favorite among the parents as well as the youth.

Over the years as I worked as a case manager and executive director of the Chattanooga Community Kitchen, I would cross paths with Joe. He was always caring, concerned and willing to help.

Joe instills trust because he is trustworthy and I look forward to having him as my commissioner.
