A Loudon County woman died Saturday after the pickup she was driving was hit by a train.

Anna Hope, 46, of Philadelphia, Tenn., was driving a 2013 Ford F150 pickup northbound on U.S. Highway 11 in Loudon, according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

While turning left into a private driveway near 17988 U.S 11, the report said, Hope crossed a railroad track on which a Norfolk Southern train was traveling northbound. The train struck Hope’s truck, overturning it. Hope, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the truck.
