With temperatures beginning to creep up and many area schools closing until fall, Mayor Tim Kelly has ordered the reopening of the Warner Park pool and splash pad.

Kelly signed a new executive order on Friday, allowing the water recreation site to open next week on Friday, May 29, after a soft opening on the 27th.

The local NoogaSplash, an inflatable water park, will also reopen for its second season this weekend at Chester Frost Park.

The Warner Park pool will join the list of other opened public recreation offerings in the city, while plans for reopening the city’s Youth and Family Development centers and summer camps will be formally announced on Tuesday.
