Finding out you’re not a good match for someone can be a tough pill to swallow. Chris Watts was told he was incompatible with millions of women … twice.

Watts, 50, a single father and small-business owner, received this news late one night from the online matchmaking service eHarmony.com about a year into his seven-year quest to find someone to fall in love with.

After filling out an extensive profile, the site searched its database of 12 million users and informed him it couldn’t find a compatible match within 300 miles of his home in Ringgold, Ga.

An eHarmony spokesperson said there are any number of reasons a negative response could have been returned. Still, it was a tough blow, Watts said, especially when he received the same result after filling out the profile a second time.

“I thought, ‘My god, there’s no way,'” he said. “I’ve not been back on the website since.”
