The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football program received a nonbinding commitment recently from Demarcus Clarke, a defensive end/linebacker at Bob Jones High School in Alabama.
Clarke, who is listed at 6-foot-3 and 237 pounds, had early offers from Memphis and Austin Peay. He becomes the 15th commitment for the 2016 signing class.
“Blessed to say I am officially committed to UT Chattanooga,” he posted on Twitter.
He had 63 tackles, nine for loss and seven sacks during the 2015 season for the Patriots, who won their first nine games and finished 9-2. He earned Class 7A second-team all-state honors and was a second-team All-Huntsville Region selection.
Clark becomes UTC’s ninth defensive commitment for the upcoming class and the sixth defensive lineman.
