NASHVILLE — Baylor had the hot hand from the outside, but it was free-throw shooting that enabled defending state champion Brentwood Academy to return to the Division II-AA girls’ state basketball title game.
Brentwood Academy (28-1) reached the final with a 69-61 win over Baylor at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena on Thursday.
The Lady Eagles will try to take home their 10th state title Saturday at 1 p.m. CST against Briarcrest. Baylor ended its season at 19-10.
