Cherish, protect American freedom

Progressive, socialist politicians are becoming more numerous and vocal recently. They are being given more air-time. But before you are tempted to accept what they say, think carefully.

The American system is by far the best ever devised. It provides every citizen with two things more important than anything else – freedom and opportunity. With those, anyone who wants to work hard, use creativity and ingenuity, and take risks can someday become wealthy, and no misguided progressive should ever dare condemn this or call it “immoral.” Those millionaires or billionaires can end up hiring and employing hundreds of other Americans in good-paying jobs, and that is wonderful for America and our living standards remain the highest in the world today.

The progressives and socialists are misguided, deluded and are deceiving the poor and uneducated into thinking there is some government or political power out there that can do a better job than “freedom” to improve American lives.

Believe me, that is not true, and whatever that power is, it will surely become more corrupt, overbearing and unsuccessful than the wonderful free-enterprise system we now have.
