More than 100 vehicles ranging from sleek Corvettes to tricked-out rat rods are expected at Camp Jordan on Saturday, Aug. 4, when River City Corvette Club holds its eighth annual Classic Car Show.
The show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Camp Jordan Arena, 323 Camp Jordan Parkway, East Ridge. In case of rain, the show will be Sunday, Aug. 5.
“We usually have a little over 100 cars,” says Chuck Logan, River City Corvette Club member. “It is not a Corvette only show; it’s a classic car show. We have cars from the 1940s to present-day, motorcycles, rat rods – just about anything on two or four wheels.”
The show includes a car corral, swap meet, 50/50 drawing, auction and about a dozen vendors. Prizes will be awarded for first- and second-places in 11 classes; part of 82 awards that will be given by day’s end. There will be a Best in Show Award plus a Mayor’s Choice Award, which is presented by the mayor of East Ridge, says Logan.
Entry is $20 in advance, $25 day of show. Spectators are free. All proceeds will benefit the East Ridge Needy Child Fund and Hospice of Chattanooga.
Show parking inside Camp Jordan Arena is on a first-come, first-served basis. No spots will be held.
