5 Whitfield County roads on repair list
DALTON, Ga. – A state grant will pay to patch, level, resurface and stripe five roads in Whitfield County, according to a news release from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
The Local Maintenance Improvement Grant from GDOT and the State Transportation Board amounts to a little more than $800,000. The roads that will get face- lifts are:
• Airport Road from State Route 3 to the county line, a distance of 2.93 miles
• South Dixie Highway from Dalton city limits to the South Bypass, 4.36 miles
• Beaverdale Road NE from SR 71 to Lake Francis Road, 2.87 miles
