Ken Webb works at one of those entities that affects a large number of people each day.
So it means a lot for Cleveland Utilities, with more than 80,000 electric, water or sewer customers, to win one of the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Awards for marketplace ethics, he said Wednesday.
Cleveland Utilities was one of six recipients named by the BBB in Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia, with entities taking top honors ranging from the city-owned utility to a mattress maker.
The groups were cited for “ethical, fair and honorable business practices.” The BBB also awarded 10 “Student of Integrity” scholarships to high school students in the area.
