Vols add more commitments

KNOXVILLE – Four-star. Three-star. Two-star. One big Sunday.

The University of Tennessee football team added at least three commitments on the final weekend before Wednesday’s national signing day.

New UT coach Derek Dooley accepted non-binding, verbal pledges from four-star defensive back Dave Clark, three-star linebacker John Propst and two-star defensive back Dontavis Sapp.

Clark, the highest-rated prospect in Sunday’s trio, starred as a versatile, 6-foot-2, 190-pound defensive back at Kansas’s Independence Junior College.

“I’ve always wanted to play in the SEC, so it was a no-brainer,” said Clark, whose known Dooley since UT’s coach tried recruiting him to Louisiana Tech. “I saw everything I needed to see, and I can’t wait to get back this summer and start working out with the guys.”
