Two University of Tennessee at Chattanooga basketball players have been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules, according to team spokesman Jim Horten.
Freshman Josh Odem and Ridge McKeither will begin their suspensions tonight when the Mocs (13-12, 5-7 SoCon) face Samford (9-15, 3-9) in McKenzie Arena.
UTC coach John Shulman will address the issue following the game.
McKeither, a junior-college transfer from North Dakota State College of Science, is averaging 9.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. McKeither, UTC’s starting power forward, had 13 points and 18 rebounds in UTC’s 68-60 loss at The Citadel on Saturday.
Odem, a freshman guard from Science Hill High School, is averaging eight points and 2.6 rebounds per game off the bench.
