The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men’s and women’s basketball teams have been ousted from their respective NCAA Tournaments, but UTC’s chances of advancing in another bracket are looking good.

Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine is hosting an online voting tournament to determine the “Top Adventure College” in the Blue Ridge region.

UTC is pitted against Virginia Tech in the first round of the 32-team bracket, which features large schools on one side and small schools on the other.

First-round voting opened March 14 and ends March 28 at this link. Fans can vote once per day.

UTC held a 65.7%-34.% lead over Virginia Tech late Monday afternoon.

Western Carolina University won the tournament in 2014 and 2015.

The magazine hosted a ‘Top towns’ competition in 2015 in which Chattanooga lost to Knoxville in the semifinal round.

Chattanooga, of course, is notorious for being a two-time Outside Magazine “Best Town Ever” contest winner. The winner of that contest is also decided by popular vote.
