A head-on collision Thursday night in Blount County killed six people and sent three others to a hospital.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol, which is investigating the 10:09 p.m. crash on U.S. Highway 411 South, has not released names of those killed in the crash.
According to emergency dispatchers, a minivan and an SUV collided near the intersection with Binfield Road, near Springview Baptist Church, 4220 U.S. Highway 411 S.
