Staff Report
Colorful cultures and creative student work will be showcased Saturday at the Signal Mountain Middle/High School PTSA’s International Festival.
I-Fest is an all-ages passport to the four corners of the world, according to publicity chairman Lisa Adcock. More than 1,000 people attended last year’s inaugural event.
Visitors will be able to explore different countries, watch student and community performances, stroll through an art gallery, taste food from many countries and explore the varied cultures of the world. Student artwork will be for sale, as will caricatures drawn by Cindy Procious.
As part of Signal Mountain Gives Back, one booth will be set up to accept monetary donations for the American Red Cross on behalf of Haitian earthquake victims.
The journey takes place from 3 to 6 p.m. at the school, 2650 Sam Powell Drive.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students. Proceeds will fund PTSA support projects for students and staff.
