Teens ages 13-17 are invited to show their creativity at a “Beach Party” painting session from 6 to 8 tonight, June 23, at the 6th Cavalry Museum, 6 Barnhardt Circle in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.
The event is one of the monthly Painting for a Purpose parties that benefit the museum.
Local artist Durinda Cheek will demonstrate painting techniques, show how to mix colors and give individualized instruction so that each guest finishes a 16×20 painting to take home.
The $40 donation includes a beach-themed dinner and all painting supplies.
Participants should bring an apron or old shirt to protect their clothes.
Registration is required, and class size is limited to 20 participants.
