In this photo by Manish Swarup, a woman living in a makeshift tent after Nepal’s destructive earthquake fixes her shelter during rain in Kathmandu. The rain fell in sheets for a time during the day Tuesday, bring misery to Kathmandu Valley, forcing people to seek shelter however they could and causing some aid trucks to get stuck while trying to deliver relief supplies outside the capital. Aid group Oxfam estimates some 30,000 people are living in makeshift shelters in 16 government camps because their homes were toppled or are feared to be unsafe.
