VW Atlas makes Cars.com honor roll
The Chattanooga-made Volkswagen Atlas SUV has been named to Cars.com’s “car seat check honor roll.”
The midsize Atlas joins the compact VW Tiguan SUV on the list that recognizes vehicles tested during the past year that have ample room for at least two car seats and have latch anchors that make car-seat installation easier.
Only 10 vehicles out of 65 2017 and 2018 models tested earned the top grade of “A” in all the categories. Volkswagen was the only brand to have two vehicles named to the honor roll, according to the company.
“Volkswagen grew its family this year to include two new SUVs designed specifically for American families,” said Derrick Hatami, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Volkswagen of America.
