WHITE HOUSE, Tenn. (AP) – Here are the latest developments in the search for a man accused of shooting at law officers in Tennessee and Kentucky (all times local):

3:10 a.m.

Authorities say they’ve arrested two known associates of a fugitive who’s been on the run for five days after opening fire on law enforcement officers in Tennessee and Kentucky.

The two associates of Floyd Ray Cook were arrested after a chaotic scene at a small-town Tennessee gas station late Wednesday. But Cook’s whereabouts remain unknown.

Tennessee Highway Patrol Lt. Bill Miller told reporters early Thursday that a U.S. Marshal spotted a car believed to be Cook’s at the gas station in White House, Tennessee. As investigators approached, the driver rammed two police cruisers and narrowly missed an officer, who drew his gun and fired a shot at the car.

Police initially said the occupants of the car fired on officers, but have since said that was inaccurate.

The occupants were later found after a search and identified as 35-year-old Katy McCarty and 50-year-old Troy Wayne, both known associates of Cook.
