A Low Country boil on Sunday and a golf tournament on Monday will help continue the work of the Jordan Thomas Foundation.
The fourth annual dinner of specialties from the Carolina coast also will feature a silent auction and music by the Ben Friberg Trio and Soundforce. Admission is $75 for ages 31 and older, $50 for younger patrons. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.
Monday’s golf tournament starts at noon at Chattanooga Golf and Country Club.
The combined events are the main fundraiser for the foundation, which provides children of traumatic injuries with new arms and legs, working with them through their growth years.
“The financial commitment is great, with the cost of a leg averaging $10,000 and an arm $15,000,” according to a news release.
The foundation has four beneficiaries and recently pledged to help a young burn victim from Honduras. Their stories are featured at www.jordanthomasfoundation.org.
