What’s OPEN Tuesday at Erlanger Health System?

• Mother/Baby Units:

Maternity units at both Erlanger Baroness Campus and Erlanger East are open.

On Monday, four babies were born at Erlanger East and three will be delivered today. A number of elective inductions scheduled for today have been postponed at Erlanger East.

On Monday, nine babies were born at the Erlanger Baroness Campus, and there were three deliveries today, with several more births expected throughout the day.

Today’s date, 1/11/11 was a particularly popular choice for inductions, most cancelled due to elective nature of procedure.

• ER updates on weather related injuries

A total of seven adults have been treated for injuries related to sliding related (sleds, inner tubes, etc.) accidents at the Erlanger Baroness Campus in the past two days. Six of those patients were admitted to the hospital.

At Children’s Hospital, only one child has been treated for injuries from a sledding accident (yesterday) and was not admitted. No weather-related injuries or illnesses reported as of noon today at Children’s Hospital ER.
