Friday is the deadline to submit a nomination for WTCI’s Be More Awards.
The awards, which are part of a national program for PBS stations, recognize excellence in the local nonprofit community. Winners will be announced at the 2011 WTCI Be More Awards ceremony at the Chattanooga Convention Center on March 2, 2011.
Applications may be downloaded from www.BeMoreAwards.com. Nomination categories and descriptions follow.
* Be More Collaborative: This recognizes an organization that has extended its reach into the community by developing meaningful partnerships.
* Be More Creative: This award recognizes an organization that displays the most imaginative and creative use of original ideas to achieve its mission.
* Be More Impactful: This award for local service honors a nonprofit that has made a significant difference in the community as measured by specific outcomes and by participation in its programs.
* Be More Enriched: This educational outreach award honors an organization that educates the community through guidance, knowledge, and/or a mentorship program.
* Be More Courageous: This award honors the individual leadership of a volunteer.
* Be More Engaging: Through online voting, local citizens will decide which organization they feel most exemplifies the spirit of the community to win this People’s Choice Award.
