Republicans show lack of patriotism
This is a time of extreme danger to our country: two wars, record debt, near bankruptcy, terrorists on our trail.
Yet the Republican leaders publicly state that their main goal is getting rid of the president and putting their party in power – not trying to fix the problems.
They stall on renewing treaties. They refuse to pass tax breaks for anyone, even millionaires, unless the super rich get them too.
During World War I, the rich paid 77 percent income tax; during the Depression, 63 percent; during World War II, 94 percent.
