Chuck Fleischmann for Congress

We are going to elect a new member of Congress from the Chattanooga area’s 3rd Congressional District on Tuesday.

That’s because longtime and very able Rep. Zach Wamp chose not to seek re-election and is not on the congressional ballot this time. Eight candidates will be listed.

We urge the election of Republican nominee Chuck Fleischmann for our best opportunity to send a sound, conservative individual from our area to the U.S. House of Representatives.

The Democrat nominee is John Wolfe, who is quite liberal, and who we believe would not represent the majority of the people of our district well.

And then there are six “independent” candidates listed on the ballot.

Most of them are not well known. One of the independents is a military veteran with a solid conservative philosophy, Savas T. Kyriakidis. But we believe the effective choice will be between conservative Fleischmann and liberal Wolfe.

Fortunately, Chuck Fleischmann has the ability and sensible views that we believe can assure our people and our area the best representation.

He is an able attorney who believes in no new taxes. He opposes increased federal debt. He is also responsible in his other financial views. He opposes ObamaCare socialized medicine. He is devoted to efforts to promote more jobs and a sound economy for our local area and our nation.

We believe Chuck Fleischmann has the ability, philosophy and character to make us a very good congressman. So we recommend him for election to the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday.
