Soloist Andrew Chauncey is set to perform Broadway tunes at SCUMC’s Broadway at the Crest event.Signal Crest United Methodist Church is hosting Broadway in the Crest at the church’s Crest Center Thursday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. The deadline to make reservations is Sunday, April 17.
The event includes dinner and a show featuring popular Broadway show songs. Performing will be the Signal Crest Music Department and choral and handbell choirs, as well as special guests the Center for Creative Arts Choo Choo Kids and local soloist Andrew Chauncey.
“If you haven’t seen the Choo Choo Kids, you will be blown away,” SCUMC Music Director Allan Ledford said of the group, which has performed all over the world.
He said the church held a similar event when the Crest Center first opened several years ago, and it was so much fun the first time around that he decided to bring it back.
“It’s a fun night of beautiful music, and an opportunity for folks who are musicians [outside of SCUMC] to take part,” said Ledford.
