Ringgold City Council approved a stop sign to be installed at the intersection of Westview Drive and Ridge Street.
Ringgold Recreation Complex bids were much higher than the estimate given by the engineer, according to Ringgold Mayor Nick Millwood.
“Our estimate was $605,000 and we got two bids and the low bid was $1,091,000,” Millwood reported during the most recent City Council meeting. “We rejected both the bids. We will schedule a work session to see how to move forward. We will look to do it in much smaller pieces moving forward and break it up. The funding is up in the air. We want to grade for soccer fields and drainage and manage the stormwater.”
The date of the work session had not been decided as of press time. Check cityofringgold.com for updates.
