Alder & Cox promotes Monroe to vp
Alder & Cox, Inc., a property and casualty insurance agency started in 1968, has promoted James R. Monroe to vice president of financial services. Monroe has been with Alder & Cox since 2010 and is responsible for leading the company’s sales team in providing Medicare and Retirement solutions for employer groups and individuals.
In addition, Monroe has oversight of the health and voluntary benefit division, providing benefit solutions to small and large employer groups.
Rhonda PoulsonPoulson promoted to vp at Memorial
Rhonda Poulson, BSN, RN, MBA, CCRN, has been named chief nursing officer and vice president of clinical operations of CHI Memorial.
“Rhonda’s leadership will be essential as CHI Memorial transforms the acute care setting to better support the entire continuum of care while keeping the patient in the center of all decision-making,” says Rick Napper, CHI Memorial Interim CEO.
Poulson is a licensed registered nurse and holds a CCRN certification. She earned a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, and a master of business administration from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.

Michael W. Cartwright, CFP, has joined Lawson Winchester Wealth Management.
Cartwright has been a financial advisor in the Chattanooga community since 1984. In 1993, he helped establish an independent branch office of LPL Financial, Cartwright, Hitching and Frazier.
Con-way honors Blanchard for driving record
Cleveland, Tenn., native Edward Blanchard recently earned a companywide honor from his employer, Con-way Truckload, which chose Blanchard as Company Driver of the Month for August. He was chosen out of 1,140 drivers across the country.
Blanchard has been driving professionally since 2011.
“Pay attention and learn your surroundings. You never know what is going to happen because things can change in a split second,” is the advice Blanchard has for other drivers.
