A new bridal fair is launching Sunday afternoon, March 31, in Ooltewah’s Cambridge Square.
The Ooltewah Bridal Market will feature 60 vendors set up outdoors around the square along with informational sessions and a fashion show – and it’s free.
“Ooltewah has over five wedding facilities, and now that we have a bridal store it’s just one of those things we realized: We have a bridal niche,” says Miranda Perez, co-owner of InspireMi Agency, the event-planning and social-media marketing company that is sponsoring this new market.
The Bridal Market is designed to allow brides-to-be to connect with a variety of local wedding professionals in one location and participate in breakout sessions providing wedding tips on different topics from experts.
For example, the beauty breakout session, led by Curate, will give advice on when and how to book appointments for getting hair and makeup done, skin care, how far in advance to get Botox or other enhancements the bride, mother-of-the-bride or members of the bridal party might feel are necessary.
The fashion show at 4:30 p.m. will not only include the expected bridal gowns, but ideas for what to wear to bridal showers, the rehearsal dinner or to take on the honeymoon.
“We just wanted to provide a free resource for brides to connect with local businesses. Weddings are expensive enough as it is,” says Perez.
