Perhaps no individual unit for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team is more eager than the offensive line to get back out on the field again.

There wasn’t another unit that took the team’s offensive struggles during the 2017 season more personally than the front five. They spent the entire offseason focused on being better, and through development as well as some new personnel, they’ve done so.

Now the flashes they showed at times last season they hope to make more consistent this year.

“I do think they’re ready,” UTC coach Tom Arth said in his office Monday. “They’ve prepared very hard, certainly all fall camp, for this moment, but really this preparation started in January. That group has been a different group, a different mentality, a different mindset. The way we’ve attacked everything from the offensive line position has been good to see, and that’s carried through the entirety of fall camp.

“They’re prepared to go out there and play well.”
