A wildfire on Lookout Mountain in Georgia is under control, authorities said Sunday night.
No injuries or home damages have been reported. The closest road to the fire is Tower Road, off state Highway 157, a Walker County dispatcher said.
Motorists driving on Georgia Highway 193 said they could see a big fire around 9 p.m. Sunday.
The dispatcher said officials didn’t have an estimate on how big the fire is, but did say fire officials were receiving calls from Dade and Walker counties.
A fire line has been created, meaning all trees and brush are removed in a circle around the fire, officials said.
