CLEVELAND, Tenn. — The Ark and its animals have anchored in a new place.
An open house today introduces Bradley County to the new location on Oak Street for Cleveland’s no-kill Humane Educational Society shelter.
“We had simply outgrown our space on North Ocoee,” said Bob Caylor, director of the Ark.
The former space was rented. The new space actually belongs to the Ark after its volunteers and members saved up a nest egg the past few years.
“This is an all-volunteer organization, and we want the money to go back into caring for the animals,” Mr. Caylor said.
