Chattanooga’s award-winning Scenic City Chorus will present “Showtime! 2010,” an evening of a cappella entertainment, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the UTC Fine Arts Center, corner of Vine and Palmetto streets.

The 40-voice women’s chorus, under the direction of Nashville native Jennifer Cooke, will entertain with classic and pop standards from such varied composers as Irving Berlin and ABBA. The family-friendly performance is designed to appeal to audiences of all ages.

Special guests will be Sound of Tennessee, a men’s barbershop chorus that has been entertaining in Bradley County for 15 years. They will showcase their four-part harmonies in jazz, Southern gospel and Broadway classics.

Also featured will be the Dream Quartet, a new group featuring Cooke, Stacy Liamazales, Robin Williams and Susan Milani.

A highlight of the show will be a Rising Star vocal contest, with three high-school age girls competing “American Idol” style. The three are Monica Cook, Bryanna Fuquera and Arianna Azcana. The winning contestant will be selected by audience vote to receive a scholarship. Tickets are $10. To order, call 265-0147, or click on www.sceniccitychorus.com or www.utc.edu/fineartscenter.
