Mary HeadrickMoral Monday rally today
Dr. Mary Headrick, Democratic candidate for the 3rd Congressional District, invites the public to a Moral Monday rally supporting access to health care.
The rally is set for noon today at the McMinn County Courthouse in Athens, Tenn., and is hosted by the McMinn County Democratic Party.
In a news release, Headrick said that “Tennesseans are dying needlessly because they lose access to health care while the state is losing hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funds.”
Headrick also has claimed an endorsement from the Tennessee AFL-CIO based on her support for raising the minimum wage and ending tax breaks for corporations that outsource factory jobs overseas.
