FORT OGLETHORPE – Warehouse clubs, road projects and technical colleges may be exciting for many Catoosa County residents, but for longtime residents of Cloud Springs Road, development can be a sad transformation.
“It’s not home anymore,” said Gloria Templin, who has lived on Cloud Springs for nearly 40 years.
She is among a number of residents who are rezoning their property for commercial use and looking to move if the right buyer comes knocking.
Catoosa County leaders are said to be negotiating with Costco Wholesale to build a warehouse club on Cloud Springs at Interstate 75. Officials have said that would lead other retailers to the road.
