Griffith Elementary School will be conducting its annual Preschool Screening Day on Friday, April 30, from 8:30 a.m. until 12 noon for Sequatchie County residents. The screening is for children 2- to 4-years old. Screenings will include vision, hearing, speech, gross motor skills, fine motor skills and development. Parents need to bring proof of residency – such as an electric bill or a landlord’s notarized statement – as well as the child’s birth certificate, Social Security card and a vaccination record from the health department.
The Relay for Live will be held May 7-8 at Sequatchie County High School beginning at 6 p.m. and continue until 6 a.m. They are looking for teams to participate. There also will be entertainment and they’re looking for people to participate. The Sequatchie County-Dunlap Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly meeting will be held Thursday evening at 6 p.m. at Sequatchie County High School. This will be Industry and Business Night and the speaker will be Dan Beasley, USDA business program director.
