Erlanger creates fund for Haiti

The Baroness Erlanger Foundation developed the Care Force Global Fund in hopes of continuing the medical mission in Haiti that began with Drs. Chris Young and Chris Moore and Erlanger nurse Jennifer Ohle.

The fund will support the efforts taking place to take medical professionals and supplies from Chattanooga to Haiti and in relief efforts for future disasters.

“The fund supports Erlanger Health System’s medical outreach around the globe in recognition that we are all citizens of the world with a common humanity,” said Betsy Chapin Taylor, chief development officer of Erlanger Health System.

“As a Level I Trauma center, Erlanger’s physicians, nurses and other caregivers are uniquely positioned to be of service in the wake of disaster,” she added.
