Trump won’t let representatives do their work
It is easy to see President Trump is undermining State Department efforts in Iran and North Korea diplomacy because he needs a big diversion once the Russia investigation gets too close.
As a nation, we depend on our senators to keep possibilities of war at bay.
There are important fish to fry on the home front (budget and tax reform), and Trump is so self absorbed he keeps making busy work to keep his name in the headlines.
Let our representatives do their work. I applaud Sen. Bob Corker’s backbone!

Corker, unlike dad, not man of integrity
My supervisor at E.I. DuPont was Sen. Bob Corker’s father. His father was a man of integrity.
I am a Republican and sad to say I voted for Bob Corker. It will never happen again. His actions speak louder than words. He is not a man of integrity.
All this Bob Corker media trash against President Donald Trump goes full circle. For him to say President Trump will start World War III is not so. President Trump did not sell his position to North Korea; Bob Corker did sell his vote.
Bob Corker did not do enough to stop President Obama’s nuclear deal. Bob Corker, like John McCain, has shown his true colors; they are Democrats in Republican clothes.
I am a Christian. I love my country, the USA. I respect our flag, and I stand with my right hand over my heart and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
I am a concerned voter and American patriot. In God we trust, God bless America and God bless Israel.

Health care opt-out more war on women
“Sleeping Beauties,” awake! American women must not sleep while powerful men deny us basic rights. We must resist the hegemony of powerful men who rape and harass us.
Harvey Weinstein is the latest man to be “outed.” Don’t forget Bill Cosby, Donald Trump, Bill O’Reilly, Roger Ailes and Clarence Thomas. Too many of us have been groped, humiliated and offered grades or promotions for sexual favors.
There is another attack we face – a concentrated assault on women’s health. Repeal of the Affordable Care Act threatens women more than men.
The attack on abortion is a smoke screen. Planned Parenthood clinics are already banned from using federal funding for abortions. Blocking Planned Parenthood removes affordable health services (gynecological exams, cancer screenings, STD testing and contraception) for millions of women.
President Trump has ruled any employer can opt out of covering contraception on religious or moral grounds. Decreased coverage for contraception translates into less control over our bodies and more unintended pregnancies.
We must resist this war on women. We must have access to health care that serves our needs. We must be safe from sexual predators. We must take our country back from the iron grip of patriarchy.

Keep protesters off field during anthem
I am sick of multimillionaire professional football players taking a knee.
If they feel compelled to protest, why not compel them to stay in the locker room until the anthem is completed?
Any players on the field must stand with their hand on their heart. Then the locker room protesters can come out to the sound of boos.
