A Chattanooga attorney has announced her candidacy for the vacant judgeship on the Hamilton County Chancery Court. A special Aug. 5 election will be held to replace longtime Chancellor Howell Peoples. Valerie Epstein, an attorney with Berke, Berke and Berke in Chattanooga, said one of her biggest goals if elected would be to put in place an electronic filing system for Chancery Court.
