Financially responsible?

Our federal government has budgeted over $2 trillion in “mandatory” spending for 2010. That includes things like Social Security, interest on debt, etc., that we can’t change.

The budget includes more than $1.3 trillion in “discretionary” spending, things on which we could cut spending.

Despite our high taxes, we expect red ink of more than $1.4 trillion!

Our national debt already is $13.3 trillion, and growing.

Do you believe our elected officials are being financially responsible?
