City Cafe, Baskin Robbins and Starbucks all passed their respective restaurant inspections this week, but not with flying colors.
Any score that is a 70 or greater is considered a passing score.
City Cafe, which can be found at 901 Carter Street, received a 78 for reasons such as the manager making barehand contact with food, no paper towels at the hand sink, food stored on the floor in the freezer, large amount of food debris behind units along the cook line and not observing hand washing.
Baskin Robbins, located at 4767 Highway 58, received an 81 for insecticides stored near single service items, cutting board in poor repair, a dirty floor and a single service item on the floor. Their score was later corrected to a 96 after meeting health expectations.
Starbucks Coffee earned a score of 83, but was cited for a tray used to wash in containing old food build-up, dirty floors with food build-up, wiping cloths with no sanitizer, dishes above the sink stored oiled, trash bags being held in the back of the kitchen and the bottom of the cooler containing spoiled milk.
