Western Carolina report
The Catamounts have lost eight of their last nine games as they attempt to get acclimated under new head coach Stephanie McCormick. Easter is coming off a career-high 25 points against Mercer on Saturday, when WCU hit 11 3-pointers in a 92-88 overtime loss.
Key matchup
Both teams are prone to turning the ball over – Western Carolina ranks seventh in the Southern Conference in assist-to-turnover ratio, UTC eighth – but the Mocs started to turn the corner against Furman, turning it over only 11 times in a 56-50 win. Some of UTC’s turnovers have come from making one too many passes, and if the Mocs can eliminate those mistakes, they’ll have more opportunities for baskets.
