Fox News host and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee once again will be in Chattanooga stumping for GOP 3rd District congressional candidate Chuck Fleischmann, the campaign announced Wednesday.
Mr. Huckabee will be in town Sunday for a Get Out the Vote rally. The campaign said it will release more details soon.
This will be Mr. Huckabee’s second trip to the area. His visit in April led to a war of words between Mr. Fleischmann and his main GOP rival, Robin Smith.
Mrs. Smith attempted to show division among Huckabee supporters over the former governor’s endorsement of Mr. Fleischmann, implying that Mr. Huckabee is being paid to campaign for Mr. Fleischmann. Mr. Fleischmann and Mr. Huckabee say that’s not the case.
