Trump making heads explode
Recently, I saw on TV that 93 percent of the news coverage of President Trump was negative. I asked myself how could this be after all the accomplishments he has done since he became president. Then it came to me. The things he has done and the 18-hour days he puts in have made the liberals’ heads explode. Therefore, the media can only report negative things about the president.
As a conservative, I can only hope our new president continues to try to get the things done that he said he would try to do. If he does and liberal heads continue to explode, they also will continue to make stupid statements and do stupid things that will show voters their true agenda. That true agenda is to let more people come to this country who want to harm you and me and change our country to what they want it to be so they can get their vote.
Keep track of what our new president is doing to make America great again and not the biased press and spoiled Hollywood elites.

Is school choice just privatization?
A book was recommended to me, so I located, bought and read it. The book is “Reign of Error, The Hoax of the Privatization Movement and the Danger to America’s Public Schools,” authored by Diana Ravitch.
Then the TFP (Perspective, April 9) had an article about school choice. This article sent me back to my book for more study. In chapter 4 (page 41), “The Language of Corporate Reform,” it said “choice” remains the preferred word. “Reformers don’t like to mention the word privatization, although this is indeed the driving ideological force behind the movement.”
The article titled “The School Choice” mentioned choice 30-plus times. Privatization was not mentioned once.
Snake oil is being peddled by the drum, and we are paying with our children’s education and our public schools.
The article was from a speech by Betsy DeVos. She is also mentioned in the book.
Privatization, according to the book, is the next great opportunity for the billionaire investors, all on the backs of the taxpayers and our children. If we won’t fight for our children and their schools, what will we fight for? Good question.

Trump’s ‘followers’ know just how he is
Donald Trump is a psychopath, i.e., amoral, manipulative, unchangeable, dangerous, a user, deceiver and lacking in loyalties. He is ignorant but not dumb. His pathology also includes convenient lying, grandiosity, narcissism and flouting of the ethics rules (why disclose an income tax return?). His perspectives and actions are always self-serving, regardless of potential harm to others. He runs the gamut.
Most of Mr. Trump’s “followers,” the Republican leadership, no doubt are aware of his pathology, but selfish motives dominate, resulting in sycophants pervading the government (e.g. Pence, Sessions, McConnell, Ryan, etc.) as well as in the corporate world. The GOP and some Democrats have sunk to the depths.
At this point, the majority of our citizenry does not appear to take seriously the threats beneath the surface posed to our democracy by Mr. Trump and his yes men. Mr. Hitler was at one time one of the most popular politicians in Europe.
