Said Urban Meyer on Wednesday evening, “I’m stepping down as the head coach of Florida to focus on family and other interests.”
Didn’t he say basically those same words on Dec. 26 of 2009 only to retract them less than a day later? Could other interests this time include the newly vacant Denver Broncos job and a certain quarterback named Tim Tebow?
“This year is completely different,” said Meyer. “I’m doing what’s best for the University of Florida, myself and my family.”
