Hometown Pull
When I left Chattanooga at 18, I swore I’d never return. The city was too small, and I was destined for a life of adventure.
I’ve been back now for 11 years, and I’ve learned that seeing your hometown in a new way can be an adventure all its own. And sometimes, it takes leaving a place to truly see it.
That sentiment is shared by a handful of other locals we interviewed this month, who have found themselves drawn back to Chattanooga despite their intentions and plans to the contrary – and who, like me, now wouldn’t trade it for the world.
